Sarafovo District is one of the most popular and desirable districts of Burgas, located along the southwest coast of the Black Sea.
At the beginning of the 20th century, asmall settlement of fishermen and farmers appeared in the place where Sarafovolies today. It was founded by Bulgarian refugees from the Ottoman Empire. The settlement was named after Engineer Sarafov, who participated actively in its planning and founding, including by designing the school, the wide streets, and the public parks. In the 1980s the settlement became a district of Burgas.
Sarafovo District has a very convenient and advantageous location. It is situated 5 km away from the central urban area, and thus is blessed with the quietness, cosiness, and comfort of a seaside resort.
